Komal Girish Reddy

Approach:

In therapy, I integrate person-centred, cognitive-behavioural, and trauma-informed principles, along with art therapy–informed practices, to help clients develop emotional awareness, strengthen coping strategies, and reconnect with their sense of self. I view therapy as a process of understanding and empowerment rather than fixing, and I work alongside clients to help them move forward with greater clarity, resilience, and confidence.

About me:

I’m Komal, a counselling psychologist and the founder of Therapy in Bangalore, a space created with the intention of making mental health support feel accessible, safe, and compassionate. I believe that healing begins when individuals feel heard and supported, and my work is grounded in warmth, empathy, and evidence-based practice.

I am particularly passionate about working with women navigating anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relationship-related concerns, grief, and trauma. Many of the individuals I support are coping with challenges such as partner-related stress, loneliness, low self-esteem, difficult life transitions, or the emotional impact of past or ongoing relational experiences, including domestic or emotional abuse. My approach is collaborative, sensitive, and paced according to each person’s needs.
